Rose Garden Location Rules and Regulations
 

·         No More than 75 guests allowed. 

·         No Reservations – It is on a first come first serve basis. The public can not be excluded from access to the gardens.  

·         No Chairs 

·         No Electricity 

·         No Decorations 

·         No Parking on the road alongside the gardens. There is ample parking lot space near the greenhouse and other areas in the park. 

·         No Charge!
 

 Perennial Garden Location ~ Up to 50 chairs are allowed in this location. No chairs are allowed on the grass in this garden or any other garden area. Photos may be taken in the gardens at any time. The same rules apply for Photographers.

For Events, Birthday Parties, Reunions, Gatherings, Cook-outs or Picnics

Rules & Regulations

Gatherings of 50 people or more require a permit from the City of Hartford.  To obtain a permit please call 860-522-4888 extension 5912, located at 40 Jennings Rd. Hartford, CT. Any event requiring road closures requires a permit.

• There is NO facility for rain unless you have a booked reservation at the Pond House 860-231-8823. Elizabeth Park has no outdoor pavilion.

• NO outside grills are allowed into the park.  Picnic tables (available May through September) and grills are provided by the City and available for use on first come first serve basis in the Oak Grove picnic are. However, visitors to the park may picnic anywhere in the park.

• NO VENDORS are allowed into Elizabeth Park including Ice Cream trucks.  Any professionally catered food to any event in Elizabeth Park must be done through the Pond House 860-231-9443.

• No tents, structures, bounce-arounds or equipment is allowed in the park without a permit from the City of Hartford.

• In no part of the park may the public be excluded.

• There are no fees allowed to be charged for any event on the public grounds.

• No alcohol is allowed in the park.

• Dogs are allowed in the park. Must be kept on leash.
